Rookie EMT Zapped Co-worker with Defibrillator, Killing Her

LEBANON, Va. - Joshua Philip Martin was in his fourth day on the job as a rescue-squad worker in Russell County when, in a playful mood, he decided to reach into the front seat of the ambulance and zap one of his co-workers with the defibrillator paddles. The rookie’s mistake was fatal.

Here we have an instrument meant to save lives that is quite capable of killing - like a gun meant for self-defense. If we accepted the “logic” of the gun-banners, we should ignore all the lives that defribrillators save and they should be banned. - BK
